Unlike other religions, we mormons dont condemn other churches, belittling their beliefs but rather; we acknowledge that other religions have parts of the truth but that the restored mormon church has the whole truth.

Bridget, God did not take away His church because people crucified His son. As you said, that was part of the plan. On the contrary, the people lost the church because after the death of Christ, many people forgot what He had taught and began to turn away from the teachings of Christ. The apostles, like John and Peter, were killed for what they believed and people started perverting the ways of Christ. A few hundred years later, people like Martin Luther began to question religion again and began searching for the church that Christ set up. What a wonderful blessing that was! It paved the way for a freedom of religion in America, wherein a boy could question God and find His truth again. Whether you choose to believe it or not is what makes it so great! Its a freedom of choice that we are blessed with in America to believe that the LDS church is that same church that Christ set up. If you choose not to believe it, that is fine. However, read any history book in the world and you will find that there is no doubt that the truths that Christ taught were lost in part after the death of the apostles. Have those truths been restored to the earth? That is a question for you to take to God, who gives to all men liberally. (James 1:5-6)

Now I understand why Glen Beck says such rediculious statements. It all makes since to me now. He will say anything to appeal to viewers.

I like this article. Out of all the Google search results: actual mormon beliefs, Yours was the most interesting.

Thanks for sharing!

Wow you seem to have an answer for everything don't you?? All I'd like to add, is that when I had a "discussion" w/ the missionary ladies, (which I was tricked into by my devout mormon mother-in-law...btw isn't lying sinning??? It was last time I checked. Maybe that's what they should be teaching at LDS) they told me all about how God had taken away the church b/c the people had crucified Jesus. But wait a minute...I thought it was God's plan..you know the sinless lamb to be sacraficed for all of us to be saved. If that was the plan then why would God get mad that it happened?? And also, if the church was gone what happened to all the people between the time of that and Joeseph Smith finding the truth? Are you telling me that those people went to the last level of heaven or the outer darkness b/c God decided they weren't priviledged enough to be "the ONE" to start the new church?? HUH?? Well gee that doesn't make much sense. So my point is, it looks like mormon's think God took the church away for things going the way He had planned...and then waited a couple thousand years to decide to reveal it to some random guy. And my mother-in-law wonders why I don't want to go to church with her. But I think the most interesting thing is that she judges me for the things I believe in. Which happen to come from the Bible, you know God's Word?

Luke 16:16 (KJV)
16The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

Matthew 11:13 (KJV)
For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.

Hebrews 1 (KJV)
1God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

Galatians 1:6-9 (KJV)
6I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Please repent of your dead works and false prophet and turn unto the living Christ.

In Christ,
